From the IT4ALL Networks we seek to make available for the members documents published by Local Authorities on the design and implementation of the Digital Local Agenda that might be of interest.

Third Newsletter of the “Bilbao Digital Agenda 2012”

From the Technical Secretariat of the IT4ALL Network, we inform you about the publication from the City Council of Bilbao (Basque Country) of the Third Newsletter of the “Bilbao Digital Agenda 2012”.

The “Bilbao Digital Agenda 2012” is a project that emerges from the political commitment acquired by the Mayor of Bilbao, Mr. Iñaki Azkuna to its citizens during the “II World Summit of Cities and Local Authorities on the Information Society” held in November 2005 in Bilbao, where it was approved the design and implementation of a local strategy in the field of Information Society for the improvement of the local administration, the citizens´ participation and communication for the generation of wellness and employment.

Newsletters of February and March of the Basque Country in the Information Society Plan

The Basque Country in the Information Society Plan 2010: Basque Country Digital Agenda is a tool that provides the framework for the development of the Information Society in the Basque Country (Basque Country Digital Agenda), which enables the competitiveness of organisations and the quality of life of citizens to be improved via the correct use of ICTs, making the Basque Country a European reference point in innovation.

The aim of this plan is to create a Basque society where the use of services based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) allows us to considerably increase the quality of life of citizens and the efficiency and competitiveness of government departments, companies and social organisations.
