Welcome
IT4ALL is a decentralized cooperation network of local authorities aiming to reach an inclusive information society as the use of ICTs is a key tool for the development.
The IT4ALL Network of Local Authorities for the Information Society established by municipalities, cities and regions, local authorities associations and networks served as an instrument for the participation of local authorities in the process of the World Summit on the Information Society. The result:
1. A common political position on the new model of society (Bilbao Declaration) that is going to set up the guidelines of actuation for local authorities on Information Society for the next years.
2. An initiative for development; to promote the development and implementation of the Digital Local Agenda in the municipalities and cities worldwide; that is to say, a local strategic plan on Information Society.
The IT4ALL decentralised cooperation network is a communication platform for local authorities, open, inclusive, solidarity, based on a free joining commitment, complementary with other existing initiatives and consequent with the principles and values contained in the Bilbao Declaration of the II World Summit of Cities and Local Governments on the Information Society, Bilbao 2005.
